Has anyone installed a 12V outlet for accessories on a Hawkeye yet? If so, where and how did you do it.

 

i just did tonight on my sons it kinda easy i put it on the left side just above the dry box lid.
take your gas cap off and then the center panel where your gas tank is at .
do this to get a beter look just up under your handle bars.
i took a 1 inch hole saw and drilled right in the side then i trimed as needed with a dermal tool
be carefull when drilling not to go to deep just tought the plastic.

Did you wire straight to the battery with an inline fuse, or something else?

I installed my 12 volt outlet inside the front storage on the right side,ran my Postive wire to the Battery and grounded the frame. Simple and it works.

 

I have my winch contactor in the right side box already, so I suppose I could put the outlet there. Rickey, did you put in an inline fuse?

Which way did you put it in? any clearance issues?

 

I used fuselink wire, You really dont have to use a fuse, but to be safe and not get any reverse surge from something i went ahead and use fuselink wire as well.
