i just went to the site and read thru alot of good information that any one that is thinking of putting a kit on really should read. theres a few steps(liking shimming the spider)that has to be done w/ specail tools. they have given very good information on alot of the quirks that would come up like the weights hitting the belt cover which i read from one of our buddys on here that had an issue. give onsite to which bikes do well w/ moving there pins to get more rpm vs more low end torque. anyways i highy recommend reading there q/a's before buying it to see what it entails to do it.

Hear, Hear!

(Gee did my previous thread prompt
your research?)

I can definately see this mod activity
as VOIDing the original MFG warrenty, LOL.
Hmmm, I may want to reconsider, but
what about other clutch kits from different
third party vendors? Am I to assume No
"Plug and Play"/"Assemble and Grimmel"
there?

I'll tell ya what.....I understand the HC has it's pros and cons......But most mods do.....It all comes down to your preference..........I know alot of guys who swear by the HC....But I'm sure there are ones out there who have a different opinion.......Good info though...

Now heres the Million dollar question. My 07 500 Deluxe has a roller secondary (Correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't looked) so it will have a different type of spring if I recall. So all the clutch kits from previous models won't work with the secondary. Has anyone either found a clutch kit or made a heelclicker work with the roller secondary???

Be advised, that the 800 clutches do not need the shim. I didn't realize it until my dealer had it apart and couldn't figure out the good of it. I THEN reread the directions and found that it does say that it is not needed! Also be advised that simply pushing down on my cover while tightening the cover bolts wasn't enough to keep the rubbing from happening on my machine! I have posted my repair for this, and will share my mod with anyone interested. I now have no more flyweight to cover contact!

Hey Stendori....I finally got around to putting my rear Gorilla's in with the square cut cir-clip, and holy cow. I had to BEAT the axle all the way in until the clip was seated. I bet these won't fall out. As long as I installed them correctly!

yea it was instigater i was refering too that had the cover issue. now see like he said the directions(online as well) say that mostly only the 700's need the spider shim and also its the older models that the cove rubs. thats why im a little leary of buying this clutch kit now my self. if there would be a problem or a chance it would be my luck i would have it lol. onesavage, go and read the h/c site. it did say something about the 400's but im sorry i cant remeber what though.

the only thing about the 400 that i saw was how to turn your secondary into ebs, kind of... you basicly set it to 1/1 and use the stock spring... i could have missed something..
