stuck in gear
#1
I have any 2004 SP 500 and lately it has had a creeping problem (haven't had a chance to get it fixed yet) and tonight when I was riding it got stuck in park and I can' t get it out. I ended up lifting the back end up and pulling it back to my house with the rear wheels suspended from the back of my 800. I am hoping to take it to the dealer in the next few days for the creeping but I was wondering how to get it out of gear so I can at least get it into the back of my pickup.
Any Ideas
Thanks

My '04 SP got stuck in reverse. I couldn't move the gear shift lever. I unbolted the rod end going into the box at the base of the gear shift lever and then I could move the lever. Aparently the box was jammed.
Let me know if that works.

That didn't seem to work.
I did take it to the dealer today and they said that it was probably related to the creeping problem which had to do with some washers in the clutch.
Hopefully that is all that is wrong with it.
Thanks

the creeping problem could befixed if its not the ebs bushing gone bad by adding shims to the clutch. it seems to me though if you could have rolled the wheeler back in forth (w/ it shut off) it would have taken the pressur of the trans. and come right out of gear if it was just because of the belt creeping. just my .02
