it also depends how far the drag race was. I personally have never raced a 400ex but a friend has one and i can't wait.

 

The scrambler 400 and ex must run closer than what I thought.Oh well Probably wont be the last time I'm wrong.

and then after the mud take him to some nice steep hills, stick at what your good at

 

Stock for stock no...but if you pipe and jet it then yes it should outrun a ex.

 

2 strokes do not put out twice the power of a 4stroke...they make double the hp in some cases but not double the power..why doesnt my traiblazer run witha predator then????

 

why do 125cc 2-strokes race against 250cc 4-strokes? and 250cc 2-strokes race against 450cc 4-strokes... freakin morons I swear... and yes, 2-strokes put out twice the power of a 4-stroke. If you knew how the two engines worked maybe you would understand why... and I wasn't talking about weak little girly automatic trailblazers.

 

Two stroke motors dont put out twice as much horsepower as a four stroke motor.500 quadzilla =53hp and a YFZ 450=39hp thats not double the horses and thats comparing a 450 to a 500.The reason two stroke seems like they have twice the power is because they rev quicker because of the design of the two stroke motor.

 

A piped,jetted and clutched Scrammy will walk all over a 400ex. My highly moded 250TB would beat piped 400ex's allday long. People underestimate the power of the scrammy once piped. The stock pipes are very restrictive.

But in stock form the ex will get it on top end.

 

So your 400l will outrun your 700 Raptor, cool.
