Default Scrambler will not shut off...

It worked fine for a while. I just finished a top end and water pump job on it. While I was at it I bought a used key switch and swapped it out. My old switch was broke with no key and I had to use a screwdriver as a key. Anyway the used one I replaced it with had all the same color wires except for one. My original had a red w/ black stripe and the new one has a red w/ a white stripe. Well, it will start fine but it will not shut off. I installed my old one thinking it would fix it but there was no change. I can turn the key off and the off/start switch on the handle bars off but the damn thing still runs. I also noticed my over heat light stays on all the time now. Anyone out there have a clue? Could it be a ground problem? How do I check them? Everything appears to be plugged in correctly. Thanks...

Next question will be how to rebuild/check the front 4X4 for problems...I pulled the allen head out of the hub and had no fluid. It looked like a seal leaked on the inside of the wheel...BOTH sides..

Whats next...

Default Scrambler will not shut off...

Anyone have any help why it will not shut off? I have been over the wiring diagram and they all look correct. What shuts the engine down? Grounding out the coil?

Yeah if you ground the coil it kills the motor.

The switch could be wired different....look at the wire diagram for the year and model of your new switch and compare them.
