Class 8 Diesels are semis...I work for Crete Carriers/SHaffer Trucking. I mostly work on the trailer refrigeration units, but I work on the trucks and trailers as well, and when needed, the 1990 Lumina for drivers to use, the 1970 chevy plow, the lawn mowers, the weedeater, or whatever happens to need fixed.

I got the carb back this morning, threw it on, and off it went!

 

did they say what was wrong with it like just needed to be cleand or what???? just wournding

 

They said it mostly just needed cleaned thoroughly, but they also replaced the needle and jets, at my request, as good insurance

 

runs good now???

 

cleaning is a very important for these small passage carbs. it only takes a small spect of dirt in the right place to clogg it up. alot of time just trying to spray carb cleaner into it doesnt do enough of a job. you need to disasemble it and clean each passage. good learning curve.

 

Runs like a champ. Now is the 05 Honda RUbicon with a problem...tranny took a crap, but the warranty can cover that
