Default Update on my cv boot woes!

Well for anyone interested I finally got the boot on right.I will never buy another boot kit from anyone other than the dealer again. The boot fit like a glove and with the right tool (I bought the tool on e-bay for 16 bucks) I put the earless style clamps on in a matter of seconds and had no more problems clearing the strut housing.all in all this job was a learning experience ...when it took a couple of weeks to get everything right the next one will probably be finished in an hour or so.

Glad you got it fixed. The pliers are a good investment.

Can you post a pic of this tool? I,m thinking about buying these "Stick stoppers" to replace the stock plastic boot guards, they are suppose to make the boots last alot longer.

if you get good ones they help alot. just on ebay and type in earless boot clamp tool and you'll see a ton of them.
