800 X2

I was told by my sales guy (whatever that's worth) Polaris took out the second muffler for cost and weight savings. I was not happy about that. I talked to the parts guy and he said don't even think about adding a second muffler. He claims the engine is not set up for it and you would only lose power. This machine still sounds good even though it has one muffler. I still think I need a clutch kit.

I haven't seen his yet, but I've seen plenty on the showrrom floor, they are nice. They have the same exhaust setup as the 700's, there is a "Y" right at the engine. The double tube header gives more bottom end. When you're in the "stuff" it is nice to have more low end!

see i read somewhere esle that adding a true dual exhaust makes it loose power on the dyno. i think the duals on mine just make it sound great compared to the stock single exhaust. i have heard the 700 singles as well as the 600 and they dont hols a candle for sound. this is just to me anyways.
