my buddy bought a 93 polaris 350 sport. rode it 1.3 miles and it went to crap. tore down this morning and it is far from good. i have never been this deep into one, but from what i can figure is the worm grear on the end of the counterbalance broke off and she exploded! thier are several holes thru the cases, the piston and head have craters in them, its just all shredded. what should he do. he liked the quad so where can you find a 350 polaris sport motor. the quad is very clean other than the motor or should he just part it out on ebay.

 

there are usually many engines on ebay that he can choose from...heck, you can even get a brand new one for $1800 from what i hear.
wouldnt hurt to take it to your nearest small engine garage and get an estimate and do some research on ebay.

i have no clue what fits what but theres a brand new 500 HO on ebay for under 1k

 

its just a matter of making something work!!!!!

 

Any 350 or 400 2 stroke will fit right in that chassis, four strokes may fit too, but you'd certainly have to buy some motor mounts, electronics and other misc. do-dads. probably wouldn't be worth the effort and money to convert it.
