Hey I am wondering what does the over ride button do? I know its for reverse but what eles can it do? Can it help you go faster or something?

only in reverse. it makes it so you go as fast backwards as forward.

Yep, that's it. some people bypass it, but I don't really see what is so hard about pushing the button in, unless they maybe wear and stop working?

Apparently you haven't been stuck with one trying to push it backwards and give throttle at the same time. I'm looking to override this button myself. I searched the forums and I found to pull the black wire off the limiter box. This doesn't work. At least not on an '04.

Hmmm... didn't think of that. I guess that would be a problem if you didn't want to keep both hands on the bars and push with your err, umm...crotch - backwards

theres no question that the override sucks alot of time. the only thing i worry about is messing w/ the new style ppedo set up which you guys w/ tb's dont have to worry about.
