I would ask Rick to set you up with the HPD trail pipe. This is a good all around pipe for trails and still gives you some top end. This is stuff you can do yourself but Im not sure what yuor abilities are. If you dont go for the trail pipe then midrange would be good. Unless you want it to wheelie easily.

Well, not everything I do is trail riding. I sometimes do a lot of plain old backyard riding.... Would this still be considered a trail??? And would I still want the trail pipe or midrange pipe??? Also I still need to know if I need to regear my sprockets with a new exhaust.....

It isn't a mandatory thing to re-gear the sprockets. Now, depending on how old the quad is, it may just be time for some new sprockets and chain.

I put the stage 1 on my 00 Trail Boss. It had too much low end torque and would dig a hole. So I did change the front sprocket out. But that was after I broke the chain and 3 teeth of the front sprocket. (big rock)

I'd put the kit on, and see how it feels. You may want to gear it for top end or bottom. But you're really not going to know till the kit is on.

And the kit really isn't that hard to put on. If you can turn a wrench, you can do it in no time.

It is a fairly new atv. It is a 2004 Polaris Trailblazer. Also, when I get the kit, is it easy to install and/or adjust the clutch kit???? Also, how do they sound????

Not sure on the Blazer if you're gonna get a full exhaust or not. The Boss being a 4 stroke was just a slip on exhaust.

The spring really insn't that hard to do.

When you say full exhaust you mean..... I am going to have to buy extra parts for it???? Also If I put the spring in will I need to adjust the clutch??? I have rode atv's most of my life but I hardly ever work on them (especially being a 2 stroke).

Part of the power you get from a 2 stroke comes from the expansion chamber on the exhaust. Not the actual muffler. The kit may even use the stock muffler. Since I haven't done our Blazer, yet, I don't know the extent of the kit.

Call Rick and talk to him. Nice guy, and will answer all of your questions.

Knowing Rick, he will include everything you need to do this kit. Including the instructions. Read them over, then decide if it's something you can tackle.
