GPS Unit

Looking to get my first GPS and was wondering what everyone would recomend? I've been told that Garmin is one of the best. One feature I would like to have is the voice prompts for turns, distance and streets etc. I will be using it for the bike, sled and truck (camping). I live in Canada (don't know if that makes a difference when it comes to maps?) Any recomendations, warnings etc. are appreciated.

I have had my garmin hand held for about 10 years and still runs strong and accurate. I have have seen others work and NOTHING compares to a Garmin. They cost more but they are WELL worth it. The first one I bought (i think it was an Eagle) wouldnt work for crap in the woods - go figure - isnt that where you need them most? I took it back right away and bought a GArmin
Do yourself a favor and sepnd the extra cash - you will have it forever

I have a 76CSX and love it. I had a 76CS for a few years and traded up for the data card unit. I never loose lock in the woods. With City Select as software it even has most of the trails I ride on. I bought this unit as an all around unit not just a quad unit. I wanted something that I could take on my quad and hiking and boating and driving. This is a true all around unit.
If I was just buying for my quad I would not get this unit. It's just too expensive at about $350. But if you need an all around unit this is a good one.
PS. The base software sucks. It's really bad. But the City Select is REALLY good stuff.

I agree with trailbound the new Garmin 60CSx has the new SiRF III chipset which is WAY more sensitive than the older generation Garmin GPS's.
GPSnow. com has them for $369 which is a killer price....here is a link.
