Clicking Sound in Back?
#1
Hi,
I have a 2004 Polaris Sportsman 500 H.O. After the last wet snow fall while plowing I hear a clicking sound coming from the back of the fourwheeler. It usually happens when I turn left. Any body have any problems like that or might know what it is? Thanks

Yep It is a torn cv boot. I have the tire and guard taken off. Do I need to take off the top and bottom a-arms to get at the boot? Going to the Polaris dealership to get a boot or find one on ebay. Thanks This forums is great

I think you can just take the top loose. Tilt the knuckle down. I forget exactly on stock axles, my Gorillas flex enough. If you can get the inner out of the diff, you can work the axle around to get it out!

I am talking about the outer boot next to the wheel. I think i know how to get it off now. I talked to the guy where we get our polaris stuff at and he told me how. Thanks for the info.
