This post almost went religious - is that even spelled correct? lol ahh who cares and f the snake - shoot to kill. I appreciate wildlife much more than most people (I have been known to get upset at a dead racoon hit by a car) but if I see a poisonous snake on my land - I am killin it.
Oh and BTW - I shot little red robin with my new Ruger 22 hornet with composite ballistic tipped ammo - JUST to see what would happen. It was one of the coolest things I have ever seen. I love that gun
Anyone wanna touch that one? Please, I want all the people that have never done any wrong in thier life to respond

Ive never had a problem with shooting the occasional birds and coons. But when i see people hurting domestic animals for a thrill (dogs, cats, horses, ect.......) i get pissed off. I am a sportsman, and love to hunt. I also get mad when i see a car hit a deer or animal, and not stop to at least put it down some how. I saw a deer on the side of the road, lifting its head and literaly "screaming" in pain, as its rear half was crushed. The driver drove away, as did everyone else ignored it and drove by. You can imagine the looks i got when i got out and shot the deer with a 9mm handgun. I hate seeing animals suffer.

Brutus, you're heartless! LOL My father was deer hunting a couple decades ago and was wondering if he still could pull off the impossible shot if needed. He had an old .270 with a 4x. He was sitting on a downed tree and noticed movement against the snow. He moved his scope around and spotted a chipmunk at about 75 yards and squeezed one off. Vaporized. He did say he wouldn't do that again. When asked if he felt bad for any of the deer he shot he said, "no". :-)

PS Any way you argue it we are the top of the heap as far as the food chain goes. Whether argued from a scientific, Darwinist mindset or from a God fearing Christian mindset. It beats being on the bottom. :-) Interestingly enough the first organized group of people to buy lands for animal habitat was......... Hunters! The conservationist movement has been hijacked! Man, I was about done for the day and Brutus got me going again. I need to take a RIDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
