My brother and I just got new 800's and the first thing we noticed is that the gear shifter rod that goes from the lever to the tranny rubs on the inside of the right panel on both of them. I also checked on another one at the dealer it also does rubs. Has anyone else come across this if so what did you do to fix it? I told my dealer about it and wants me to bring it in but I thought I would check you guys out first to see if there is an easy fix for it(bend the rod), so I don't have lug it all the way to the dealer.

 

Mine does same. Harder to shift than my previous ones. I had dealer look at it, shimmed clutch, didn't help much at all.

 

mines been doing it since new. bad design but doesant really hurt anything.

I like to put door foam with one side adhisive in between parts that rattle and rub on sportsmans.

 

I used cloth hockey tape on the inside edges of the side panels that rattled - you cant see it, it doesnt come off and rattle is gone. Other than that I have no rattles or noises at all
