I was at my dealer yesterday and he said there was a jetting update avalible, and that he will order it in (I had my hawkeye there already getting my Mudlites installed) But then I started talking about this update and then he said that the update involved drilling holes in the air box along with the jetting change!!!!! Good....Bad I dont know....I need some help??

Mine has the jetting update along with 2 holes drilled in the air box lid. I don't ride in any high water, so it is no problem to me. I think the dealer said that if I was to take it to a higher alt. that you can drill up to 6, 1/2" holes.

Forgot to add, if they are installing a jet, see if they will drill your slide. A hole the same size as the existing one, on the other side of the needle. Adds some mid power.

Default Hawkeye Update

did have carb issues with my hawkeye. took to dealership they suppsedely rejetted it with six holes in the airbox. that was over 9 months ago. over a period of a couple of months went back and forth to the dealership buying whatever i needed and would take the seats off the showroom hawkeyes and everyone that he had, had six holes drilled in the airbox lid. and had rubber plugs installed. dealer gave me the paper from polaris explaining that if the four wheeler started acting up to pull one of the rear plugs and ride it. then if still not running right keep pulling plugs and test riding until running right. then advise the dealer how many plugs had to be removed. to make it run right. from my understanding so that polaris can find what size jets to run in different elevations. where the holes are drilled that are plugged if your that deep in water it want run there anyway if it had the holes in the airbox or not unless you have a snorkle. hope that this helps you out. polaris seems to still be working out the problems with these.
