2005 SP 400.
Sometimes it acts as if the battery is dead. But, if you wiggle the kill switch while turning it over it will start and the gauges come on.

you better figure it out before it leaves you stranded somewhere. take it apart to see if its corroded.

This is a fairly common problem with these switches especially if you run any extra lights or accessories.

The plastic that holds the contacts melts. You have two options. You can bypass the kill switch or buy another switch. If I remember correctly the switch is expensive.

Also if you take this switch apart it will drive you nuts trying to put it back togather.

You can bypass the switch without taking it apart. You can use a jumper wire on the harness near the connector.

I have one in the shop now that has been bypassed. I will post later on today or tonight which wires you need to jump after I look at it again. As of now I forget.

Sorry, I forgot about this thread.
Did you find the switch?
Thanks.
