try to add some gas to the tank,or possibly try some starting fluid .. what i would do is - add some gas to it, repolace the plug and give the carb a shot of starting fluid then whip it over it should start if not you have got some issues... savage out!!

sounds like you have starter brushes that went bad, if it started when you first went to ride it, it may turn over with a tap on the starter, try removing the bottom skid plate and gently tapping on the starter when hitting start button. Scrammytodd is right the only other way is to wrap a rope around drive clutch pull it over that way.

Sounds like a plan guys. The drive clutch is supposed to go counterclockwise and the cage on the starter should go clockwise, right? What gets me is that when the starter died, it really sounds like a dead battery. When I first pressed it, it sounded fine, then started to die like a dead battery. The battery is only about 3 months old. I put it on my charger and it said it was fully charged. My lights still work.

Here's an update: I tore it down today and found that a wire had shorted against the farm causding the starter not to work. I fixed that and now the starter works again! Here's the bad... I still can't get it to fire. I am pretty sure that it is just flooded because I gave it a good shot of starter fluid. I ended up draining the battery trying toget it to start, so that's back on the charger. I notcied that the carb was spitting out starter flud (or atleast what smelled like starter fluid) back into where the air box is. Should this be happening? Atleast I'm getting closer.

I forgot to mention that I got a new plug in it today. The old one was bronze color, so it must not be too lean. I tried to start it a few times with the new plug, took the plug back out, and the plug smelled like gas, so it should be getting gas.

I knwo that the positice connection from the battery to the solenoid is not the greatest. It is on the list to be changed, but it has worked fine. If a connection is not 100% perfect would it cause the starter to turn slower or does the starter turn at a constant rate no matter what? Electrical things confuse me lol.

The starter still works. It turns over and sounds fine. It turns the clutches and flywheel. The bendex is working and everything. The engine will turn over, but not fire.
