Default TB 400, WHERE THEY AT??

Ok so i have been in the market for a new quad for like 2 weeks, and i already got an offer of 2k for it, So i have a question, its not that i need a bigger bike, but i need more engine, *** i hear, but only have seen 1 for sale they make a tb 400 which is exact same quad wit a scrammy motor correct?

I know they stopped making these things, but why is no one selling them? Are they that good?

I also want to know the size difference between he TB 250 and the Scrammy 400 ?

All i need is a bigger engine, i still have room to grow into my TB 250

Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction?

Or i know someone wanna build me a nice custom TB 250 ? LOL

Last question, My uncle is a a mechanic, if i did buy like a scrammy 400 motor and and just a TB 250 QUAD with everything, just the frame is bad, you think it would be hard to do it? Or just a 1 day project since the scrammy and tb i hear are simaler?

The 400's are great quads and are probably going to be hard to come by.
My brother-in law had one that had an electrical problem and needed a seal
replaced inside the cases. He sold it for $1200 dollars. The 250's have the
same frame but I think different engine mount locations and they are also
water cooled so you would have to figure that into and engine swap.
You really will have to do a lot to a 250 to get it up to speed of a 400 or 500.
Even if you do mod a 250 up it to beat stock 400 or 500 it would only be
in a short drag race. The 4 & 500's will still have more top end.
I would sell the 250 and use the money to buy an older 400 or 500.

But, is the Scrambler 400 size of the quad bigger then 250 or its the same body and frame?

Up to about 2001 or 2002 the only difference was the engine size and
the 250 had a different rear shock and different strut mounts. After about
2002 the frames are the exact same.

As everyone can see i have some mods to my quad done already, So i would like know that:

1st : Basically the Scambler 400 4x4 and Trailblazer 250 are basically the same , just diff engines, but same size quad correct?

As everyone see i have mods dont to my quad, so i was wondering if it would be eaiser to just put more money in my quad or buy a scammy 400

A Trailblazer 400 and Scrammy 400 are exactly the same quad. They just rebadged the scrammy to a tb400 for the last year of the 400 2 stroke. The TB250 is the same physical size as the 400scrammy and tb400. I would buy a scrammy 400/tb400 and sell the 250.

DITTO on the same size of frames. If you dont need the 4x4 look for a 2000-2002 400 Scrambler 2x4.It is exactly the same thing as the 400TB except for the color.

Also quick question, what is a good silencer? Im hopefully selling my tb for 2000 and picking up a scrammy 400, but i think i wanna get a exhaust system, i really like the kit Rick ritter sells, but im not into his silencers, Anybody know or have experience with a diffrent silencer on his pipe? Im looking for more of a deep sound...
