I was wondering if someone could tell me is it normal for my 2004 sportsman 600 to give a loud clunk when I put it in forward( High or Low) and in reverse, I had a 2003 700 and it never made a sound , I checked all my universals in the drive shafts and everything is good I only have 42 hours on it It doesnt do it all the time Its really annoying but if its not gonna hurt anything I can put up with it

my 800 does it as well. its the clutch when you engauge it the secondary is spinning so it comes to a stop when put in gear so it clunks.
