i have a scrambler 400. i keep it in one of those aluminum sheds, so in the winter it gets pretty cold in there. someitmes it will be weeks before i go out riding, i just don't like the cold much, unless it snows.

anyhow, just about everytime i go out to start my scrambler, the slide in the carb is frozen. i usally just start it and let it idle for about 15 minutes until there is enough heat to thaw out the carb.

my question is... is it good to run dry gas in it during the winter. i have a 400, so its a 2 stroke. i run it in my vehicle once in a while, but i never heard anything about running it in a 2 stroke engine. i would imagine it wouldn't make any difference.

Yes it is but you must use only dry gas made of
isopropyl.

Polaris makes a product called Carbon Tech it is like $2.50 a 16oz bottle. Its a fuel system cleaner and de-icer.It is designed to be used at 1-2oz per gal. it works great.
