Default Steering Heavy.

I have a 2004 600 sportsman, would like to know if there is an electrical test that can be done to see if my front diff is kicking in when in 2 wheel drive. The reason i ask is the steering felt heavier this time than the last time i rode it.Thanks.

You could disconnect the speedo, which will prevent the AWD from working. My bet is the front springs are saging pretty good causing it. Polaris is known for hard steering. Stand in front of the quad far away and look at the front tires, see if the tops are leaning inward. Now use a floor jack to raise is about 2-3 inches(not off the ground) then look again. Should look much better. Springs wear out after awhile. If this is the cause, either new springs or a spacer lift will work fine!(I recommend EPI front springs for the fix)

i would agree w/ ints. here as if the font end is sticking in awd, you would easly tell myeither goosing it to spin the tires or throw it in reverse and spin them.
