Cleaning a quad??
#11
i have an elec. pr.washer thats 1200 psi that has adjustable nozzle from fan to pin point on the pressure. use it on the fan , just like a car wash. jst dont clean your greased areas real hard as it will take the grease off and spread it everywhere on the wheeler

Yea man i know im soo happy i posted this thread, cuz i thought i was gonna get flammed for asking how to wash a quad good lol...
I was just wondering the pros over a pressure washer and the pros of a garden house and some rags?
I know a pressure washer is a lot easier and its a good investment..

Another advantage to a pressure washer is your actually dumping alot less water on your quad... most small electric washers only flow around 2gpm or less... where your garden hose might be dumping 9 or more "gallons per minute"

Last time out, I used 4 tanks of gas in my pres. washer. It was pretty muddy, LOL A pressure washer is worth it to me. But somettimes a low pressure flow works to prevent blowing mud all over the areas you just cleaned. I have never used anything but a pres. washer. But, like I said, 4 tanks of gas, but it is extremely clean though! WD-40 is a good preride coater, helps the clean-up process. And, no I didn't use it last time out, forgot to!

I've never used anything but a garden hose. That and a bucket of dish soap.
I use WD-40 to spray the aluminum cases and such so they don't corrode.
And I use Honda Spray Cleaner and Polish on all the plastic.
