98 Scrambler Tires "Wacha Runnin? "
Just picked up a mint 98 Scrambler 400 2wd with hot seat pipe, v force reeds, needs nothing but 1 rear tire, has 22-11-10 Goodyear Wrangler Sports now ( I think stock ), should I put another one on to replace the worn one ( the other is new ) or just buy a new set. I ride in the mountains on clay soil, lots of rocks, old logging roads etc, any ideas? I was thinkin Turf Tamers, had them on my Quadzilla, they were nice, hooked up well, and slides real nice, but there are so many to choose from these days. Oh ya, and who's got the best prices?

I will not run anything other than ITP MUD LITES. Period. They are the best all around tire. Very soft rubber, and a great aggressive tread. Just put a set on my 95 Scrammy, and can't wait for the wife to burn off her tires so I can put them on her 98 Scrammy as well. They can be run at a very low psi (I'm running 2.5psi rear and 3 front), so all the the machine's power is utilized. Take my word, you won't be dissapointed. I've run good years, dunlops, vampires, and many more and have not been this impressed to date.

They are pretty sticky. I would say not as good for sliding as your turf tires, but they will break loose if you try. I run mine at a very low psi so I can't give you a true response. They may slide better with more air....... If you are willing to wait a few days, I'll add more air this weekend and see if I slide or roll.
