i just bought a trailboss for $600, i have never owned an atv before. I dont know the year of it, and i dont know how many cc it is, so if any of you guys can answer these questions then thank you. the link at the bottom has a picture of it, its not the exact picture of my atv but mine is identical. (2 stroke)

I didn't look up that address, so pardon me. Find the model #, it should be on the frame on the right side. The first 2 #s will give you the year and we'll go from there. Doc

 

Gotta be early 90s they made this body style for quite a while. I hade a 98 looked the same just different color plastic.

 

the SN is 1644131 ,so how does the first two digits tell me the year?

 

sorry that is not the SN, i found the sticker. W898127. so its an 89. but how do i tell the cc's??

 

Hey saint, if nobody else can help you try going to bikepics.com and look up the different years until you find one that looks like yours. they made the earlier trailbosses in 2 and 4 wheel drive 250cc, my cousin has one that is just like yours but his is blue, and it is a 250. You can also try polarisriders.com, maybe they can help. Good luck with your searches.

does anyone know where i can get parts for an 89 trailboss?? i need new plastic

 

i got a whole blue 87 trailboss all the parts are interchangeable..... plastics are in good shape no cracks or anything there scratched up but what atv isnt.... is that where your headlight is at or is it on the handle bars cause mine are on the handle bars if u ever wanted to switch it around i think it looks better on the bars....

 

mine is built into the front end, not on the handle bars. i guess i dont really need new plastic, my plastic is just badly faded. is there any kind of paint i can use that wont fall off??
