I think that Farmer123 has given this young man some great advice. We all have done some stumblin' while we were growing up.

It took me three years of side work to save for my new one.

AMEN FARMR123!! Priorities!! I paid cash for my bran spanking new 1991 250X. Because I didn't need a new car, that 1978 F-150 was ok for me. Heck I've never had a "payment" on a quad or bike until I bought the two I have now. But the wife was in favor of these so I financed them before she changed her mind. HA! In my neighborhood, McDonald's is paying $8/hr and the most tricked out SP500 HO wouldn't cost more than $150/mo for 4-5 years

Things are very tough when you are young.I remember when I was 18,my father would NOT co-sign for a 1970 454 SS Chevelle.I wanted that car so darn bad I'd almost of done anything to get it.Today,at age 40 something,im so glad he did'nt get me the car,I'd probably be dead.In fact, dad never co-signed for any [9] of us,ever.

Best thing to do is to get a job, establish some sort of credit, keep it in good standings at ALL times, and sooner or later things will turn your way.

No complaints here I got my 250r and a 69 camaro.I am only 15.MY camaro needs new qauters, front clip, floor pans, trunk floor, basicly a new car.I get to learn wrenching on it though.
I WISH I could find a job but no one will hire you around here unless you are 16.I have checked.

Bill your dad is evil for not letting you get that car!You could probably sell it and pay off your house!

jeepin,
nice thought, but the car would only be worth around 20k here,my house FAR exceeds that [140k],so no,the trade off would be way off,but thanks for the thought [lol],
