Wow! My house has been re-appraised for tax purposes and is valued at $9500. Yes, $9500, not $95,000. Is all location. Seems a house where your closest 2 neighbors (from mailbox to mailbox) are a long-distance telephone call are not in high demand. Probably doesn't help that we have a 10 minute drive to just GET to the pavement.
Plus the nearest town to where I live has no gas station. The only business is a bar & Grill (only bar I know of that sells bread & milk), and a welding/repair shop. Oh, yea, and a seed corn dealer. At least no one really bothers us.
