Trailblazer vs. Trailboss???????
I just moved to Michigan's Upper Peninsula. There is a Polaris dealer in town and I have been considering either of the above quads. Which one would you guys choose? I know the Trailblazer has some good mods out there for it, what kind of mods can you do to the Trailboss? Is there a big bore kit or anything available?
One of the reasons I have decided on these quads is price. $3500 vs. $5000 is a very big deal to me right now. I have also been thinking about an Ozark (the nearest dealer is 50 miles away) or a Recon, or a 350 Yamaha.

Trailblazer vs. Trailboss???????
When you say blazer, is it the 250, or the 400? 400 is definitely better.
I have both, (325 boss with some mods), and the 250 blazer, and would have to say it really depends on what type riding you are going to do.
The boss is definitely better in the mud. But the blazer handles a lot better, and is a more tuneable quad. I have a pipe, jet kit, k&n filter, air box vents, changed the front sprocket and changed the primary clutch spring on the boss. Without tearing into the motor, that is about the extent of mods. (I do have a bigger carb to put on it)
The blazer, being a 2 stroke, can get more out of the pipe and clutching if they are matched properly.
Handling wise, the blazer wins that. Much easier to turn, and seems to turn tighter.
Take it the blazer you're looking at is on 06, is the boss an 07? There shouldn't be that much difference in price.

Trailblazer vs. Trailboss???????
Thanks for the reply. I am looking at an 06 Trailblazer and an 07 Trailboss. I'm surprised at the lack of response to this thread. I'll be riding in Michigan so I am thinking that something with more torque, like the Boss, would be better. Anyone else out there have any thoughts on this question, and how the Trail Boss and Blazer stack up to quads like the Recon and Ozark?

Trailblazer vs. Trailboss???????
The boss and blazer are much bigger and faster than the ozark and recon. The trailblazer is peppier, quicker, more sporty handling and very easy to mod. The boss is very comfortable, great on gas, more torque and more utility. I have had both. For long trips the boss is perfect. For more sport trail riding the blazer is great. Personally I likes the boss better even though it was slower.

Trailblazer vs. Trailboss???????
I have an 06 trail boss and my brother has an 06 trail blazer and well he is on the heavy side so the blazer is a little slower than the boss when im on the boss. the only mod they have is the primary springs and on the boss and the blazer it made a big diff. now i can pull wheelies with the blazer and in the mud the boss just goes. like the others said the boss is more comfy and has more pulling power but the blazer is more zippy off the start my brother gets me but then i just fly past him in a second or 2. hope this helps. personally i would go with the boss but im more into the power not the speed.

Trailblazer vs. Trailboss???????
i have a 02 trailboss and i am very happy with it. if you are looking to do mods to it talk to rick ritter. he has helped me do alot of mods to it and what a difference. i do mostly trail riding with it and it does fine. i added some mudlite tires to the back to give me better mud traction and that helped out alot. anyways it seems to be a good all around machine.

Trailblazer vs. Trailboss???????
we have a 02 250 tb, my cousin had a 2000 325 tboss, riding them both the 250 tb
felt lighter quicker & faster. The 325 tboss had racks making it nice for trips & it
could get more miles out of a tank of gas (nice for those u.p. rides !!) now that
the tboss is a 330 I dont know if there is much diff. in power, plus they stopped
making the 250 tb & u will have to do more top end jobs with the 250 tb 2 stroke.
I would say get the 330 tboss.
