Hawkeye recall

Default Hawkeye recall

just got a recll noyice for my wifes hawkeye. 1 steering post may break in the area where the handle bar connects to the steering post. 2 may have been manufactured with insufficient amount of material thickness in the area where the lower a arm and ball joint are attached to the front bearing carrier units produced 1-23-06-1-30-06

We've heard a lot about the rear subframe, but this is the first I've heard mention of a steering gear problem.

Narrow time frame is right - one week! They're saying (for now) that this manufacturing defect lasted a whole week. Its a start ... hopefully they'll broaden the time bracket later.

Thank the lord for this forum, I just about bought a hawkeye for my wife. I wish Polaris would just do the right thing for you guys, but of course they won't.

I cant figure out what month mine was built, do you guys know how to tell what month and day it was built ?

Ricky, there should be a sticker above the right front tire with the build date on it...
