I was at work and brought my 05 800 with to use it to spray some weeds, and pulled it on the scale. I figured it was around 1000 lbs but was really suprised that it came out to 1180 lbs with me on it no wonder the thing wants to sink, o well i still love it, and have only been showed up once and that was with my buddies 700 with the bigger tires, well have a good weekend and hit the mudholes hard.

 

You didn't have the sprayer filled with spray, did you? Just kidding, those things are heavy. If 800s are dry at 760lbs and I'm 240lbs, then add big wheel/tire kit, 3000# winch, fluids, and gear I'd say your wieght sounds about right.

 

theres no question some of the biggest complaints is about the heavy weights of our bikes but you get used to it and its not a big problem. i think this is the reason why so many of us has soft spring issues.

 

Did you weigh it without you on it?

 

yup, it was 860 lbs without me and without the brush guard

 

Without you AND the brush guard....

I think you're dodging the issue here.
