hey caper, didnt you say the booked said that the modual controlls the rmps readings as well? i remeber us talking about it a long time ago.

I went to my dealer and they wounldnt replace for free cost me 165.00 but i got the same "new " part number as you. The guysa at the dealer said they have replaced alot of these they said call polaris and complane. tell them alot have been replaced and they should pay for the faulty part but dont tell them it was dealer that told you that.The service manager showed me a unit from a 600/700 that went bad to. I put the ecm in and my wheeler runs great again . i have rpms gauge fan runs and it doesnt quit .

 

Yes they do control "ALOT".......They have two solid state circuit breakers in there as well...................................If you intrested I can send you a P.M. of the service manual break-down discription of all it does!!!.........Too late now...LOL..LOL..(11:30 pm) Great to here it's fixed.............But now I still think about my wife's which is on my mind now........When?....is it time to replace it????Hopefully not in the middle of nowhere when if goes bad!!!!!!!!......Caper.........

 

see this is what pisses me off about this deal. caper has a great dealer who wants to keep his bussiness so he keeps him happy buy giving him a new ecm, where other jerk dealers wont help out at all. if you tell them you know for a fact there has been alot of these being replaced they'll tell you they havent heard of it. its too bad the dealers wouldnt have a uniform policy across the board.
