Batery on 90 won't recharge
Cant get the batery charged, it went dead one day and i can't get it back to life, i tried charging it but it won't work, it's on a 90 cc sportsman, the only power i get out of it is when i'm riding and even when i ride it batery power is low, the lights sometimes won't. i'm new to atving because i'm only 13 but could someone give me suggestions on how to get the batery back up and running, it's only 1/2 year old. Please help

did you check to make sure it was filled w/ acid/distilled water? unless its a maintence free batter it has to have the prpoer amount of fluid. chances are if you already tried charging it and it wouldnt hold its charge then the battery is junk and you'll have to buy a new one. maybe take it back or talk to the dealer where it came form and they'll help you out. its worth a try being that new. good luck.

gel batterys are more money then a wet style batt. you can just go to your local parts store or wal mart and pick one up fairy cheap im sure and fill it and charge it and your ready to go. just curious, do you live in a cold climate where the battery froze over the winter or there wasnt any water in it and it ruined the cells. at 6 months old it should not be bad unless it had help.

No actually i meant it's been 6 months since it's not been working, the batery is a year old, my mistake, actually the day it started this problem, it was fairly hot and i was up with my friend in Kendal Wisconsin, and i remember i hit a fairly big rock and it rammed up my chain guard, and after that happened , it hadn't been working, see i don't know if it's the batery or not, i was thinking that it was a wire that had gotten loose, but i don't know , i'm not that intelegent in the technical stuff in an atv, lol

first thing you should do is have it chargewd up and take it to a garage to have it load tested to see if its still good. b4 charging, make sure it has the proper amount of water in the battery. if the battery test fine, then you start looking at connections. just hitting a rock on the guard shouldnt have done anything to the battery unless you hit somewhere there might be wires connected. you could look around to see if there are any loose ones. good luck.
