hey what mods should i add for more power to my 05' sportsman 500. eg. pipes, and what kind, air filters, or anything else?

 

I have a UNI filter and a HSP pipe on mine, also look into clutch kits. I like my heelclicker, but others don't like it. Do a search and you should find what your looking for

Can ya run a HSP on a Sportsman 450? Also, what is the noise level increase from stock?
I plan on upg to a bigger cc model but just curious, like to learn.

I think the pipe would be the same for the 450. My pipe is actually for the older stlye bike and it doesn't fit 100%. HSP I think has the pipe for the newer style out now. As for the noise, it's a lot louder than stock but not nearly as loud as my Scrambler with the AAEN pipe. I still see moose and deer on the trails, so it can't be too loud. LOL

 

Hey Scrammy, I see you got that pipe on. How bad was it to make it work for you?

 

Pretty easy, just bolted it on. It isn't a 100% fit at the header, but it doesn't leak. And the springs are a differant length but they streched enough LOL

 

Has anyone had any expiriance with off set timing keys?? I'm thinking that would be a cheap, easy mod, but I haven't heard of anyone with seat time after.
