Front End Play
#1
Hello All I just replaced my Inner & Outer tierod ends and I still have a little play back and forth as well as up & down when I pull up on the handles bars when I had someone turn the handle bars back and forth I noticed that at the very bottom of the steering shaft where there is a big nut with a cotter pin in it there is some play what could it be or is there a bearing or bushing down there that can be replaced if so does anyone know how to do it thank you

Yeah... The lower "plastic" bearing is known to go bad fairly quickly, Don't know what year your quad is but they were improved on more recent models..... Check out this aluminum aftermarket replacement....
This is where I got mine....If you go this route you'll need to drill out the two rivet holes a little to fit the larger bolts that come w/this....A long drill bit helps!!

Yes there is a bearing down there.
You may be able to just disassemble the lower end of the steering column (tie-rods, bearing flange etc) and get it out that way. If not then you will have to also disassemble the top and remove the steering post or at least loosen it.
