Not sure if this thread is ALIVE but it appears that I am another customer that ran into the RED tape with "customer service" who were a bunch of idiots that had no idea what machine I had or how the problems were. Spoke with MANY people at polaris and have been given the listen and blow me off deal each time.
Took your guys suggestions and took it to another dealer (1hr each way!) and they are much better to deal with but Polaris said the same thing listen and blow me off!!!!

Polaris customer service?????? That's a hot one. That's like Jumbo Shrimp. A true contradiction in terms. I have had no luck at all dealing with them over a problem. Good luck to you. Dealers are your only option and some of them aren't worth the time of day.

Crystal Lake? Sweeeet! I live just south of you in Elgin! I have taken my Quad from R N S motorsports in Woodstock all the way to TUF in Dekalb. TUF is the shiznit! and has been for many many years, i was stupid to purchase at RNS and have paid for it everyday since! My 50cc quad has less than 3 hours on it and the piston was shot, RNS said it was because my 6 year old submerged it (abuse) and I told RNS my six year old went through some puddles and rode it according to the manual which says it can go through water up to the floor boards!
Thanks for the support POLARIS CUSTOMER SERVICE STINKS!!! I am going to do the direct E-mail to the bosses listed above just for fun, still kicking around small claims court but....

i think the poor warranty service is a dealer issue---i have been to some good dealers that take care of it and don't give any lip, but others that want to charge me for everything-- "abuse." The dealer isn't penalized for higher warranty claims, esp extended, are they?
sparks1032--- what is going on with your machine?

the piston is shot because the 50 was smoking like a two stroke when we got it back from the dealer!!! this past weekend water in the air box AGAIN!!!!! Not sure how the 2006 two stroke 50 has the air box but the 2007 faces forward and SUCKS THE WATER IN so I have had significant problems with the 50 and just paid $300.00 to get it fixed so i am looking for a different air filter with an air filter cover to keep water out

Reviving a very old thread but sadly the Polaris Customer Service problem hasn't gone away.
I'm a very unhappy customer with a 5 month old dead 2010 Ranger EV still under warranty. Because of my remote location, to return my EV to a dealer for warranty service is about a $1500 expense entailing several weeks.
I have the service manual and the knowledge to fix the problem and was prepared to maintain the machine myself after the 1st year's warranty was up. The cost of transporting the machine to a dealer for extended warranty work made buying this a waste of money. I did expect some cooperation from the company during the first year under warranty.
The problem is a dead charger. It takes undoing 4 bolts and two electrical snap together multi-connectors and pulling 1 AC cord through a hole to remove / replace this unit. Less than 5 minutes work in each direction requiring 1 wrench. Polaris says the unit must be returned to a dealer to get warranty on the approximately $600 charger.
I'm on my 4th day of waiting for a response from the dealer.
What I am asking for is to allow me to remove the charger and ship it out for a warranty replacement instead of the whole machine.
It's a pain in the *** as the EV is my only transportation other than a bicycle.

I am into this machine for $16k and if I don't get satisfaction I am going to prepare a video spoof of their Ranger EV ad and post if far and wide and then request people to access it to drive it to the top of the listings.
The ad will have the same type hype music and excited narrator with the video first showing glimpses of the EV moving through dense bush. The shot will then pan out to show a decrepit old pickup towing the EV along.
Next the video will interview myself ,the proud owner, and explain the problem I have with customer service and warn potential buyers they better be within shouting distance of a dealer if they expect any kind of warranty service.
The EV is a very nice machine but if I had known before hand how bad Polaris customer service is I would never have bought the machine. My bad... I did check for complaints about the EV but it is so new all there was was glowing reports. I should have checked out Polaris more thoroughly.
