Hard shifting fix
#1
Last month I posted a problem with my machine not shifting in and out of gear on occasion. Well, after trying all of the good suggestions to no avail I finally fixed it. This weekend my brother in law brought his machine over for a ride. His is a Magnum 500 also but he has NEVER had any problem with his shifter getting "stuck" or grinding the gears. But he did have a problem with his machine idleing a little slow. So low that it did not like to crank without a little throtle.
Anyway to make the story short I discovered when idleing up his machine that a faster idle would make his shifter stick a little and grind or make the clunking sound that mine would also make. I set mine a little lower ( it seemed fine to start with) and the problem with my shifter disappeared!!!!
That explains why it would be hard to shift even if the frame was not twisted or on uneven ground.
FFeww.... glad I did not end up at the dealer looking for a fix

When I first fire up my TBlazer and its idling high, I always pull the choke out a little to bog the motor, slap it in gear, than tap the throttle to keep it running. Once its warmed up and idled back down, it always goes into gear easily.
