I got a flat tire while I was riding & I took the tire into town, they put
a plug in it, do these plugs last or will I have problems later?? it is in
my rear 489 titan tire on my scrammy.

the slime only work fro very small pin size hole.... a plug, in a non-direct contact area should last a while....
i even have a plug in my lawn mower sidewall, for 3 years now..... still works.... (1/4" hole from a wire)

Yea, I got a side wall tear after riding a rocky trail. I plugged it
there on the trail with a cheap tire plug kit (walmart).
Filled up with air from my 12v compressor.
Man, it did great sealed perfectly. I was expecting it to
lose air and such and it held up and still holding after
several more trail rides (Back there again),mudding
etc.
I am 350 lbs riding on 25" stock Carlie tires, go figure!
You should be good with your plugs, as a side note
I took my tire into town after my ride weekend
to have it patched, this local scam motorcycle shop
took me for $30 dollars and never did fix my problem.
So I replugged it, doing great!

ya, when I went into town I made sure I went on past the
motorsport dealer & on to a tire shop. I parked my truck
with my pickup camper on it down the road & carried the
tire down the side walk to the tire shop so they didn't know
I was from out of town that way. They charged me 10 bucks.
Good to know that the plugs seem to hold up well, thanx for
all the replies!!

PLUGS ARE GREAT beats buying a new tire and yes you can plug sidewalls but try to keep it under 3 or four in the same hole.

in the worse case put a hot patch on the inside of the the hole and put a tube in if its a new tire that you want to keep. just another route to go if you had to.
