Psyduck777,
if this is your first ATV,my advice is to take the ATV safety course. It lasts 4 hrs long and is free to all that purchase new quads, however,if bought used,it will cost you 35$ for the entire course.

I been riding ATVs since 1983 and I still took the course.Besides, its fun,
Bill

Congrats. Just keep 'er greased up, and the chain lubed. And be polite to the guys on the 'big slow' utility machines as you may need help getting out of a mudhole someday LOL

I agree, take the safety course. You'll have fun and probably learn some things. Try to use good judgement on how AND where you ride. Most of all, have FUN!

Very good advice on the hill issue. Don't feel that you have to do it just because your buddies did. If you even have to think about it, don't try it. Get yourself some decent riding gear, helmet and goggles are a must, no questions. Gloves are next, and maybe a chest protector. Don't ever ride without the brain bucket on.

Congratulations!!!
I have some advise for you, keep the thing grease, oil the chain, lube all cables, and spray silicone on everything it does a good job to protect the machine from rust, fading, mud sticking, ect.
GOOD LUCK with your new machine!

Yeah Tim1 is right about the bearclaws i put them on my 300ex and i swear i now can beat any 2x4 quad through the woods. I got 2 inches more ground clearance over my old vipers too.
