Default carburetor removal

I can not find any information about removing the carburetor from a 2001 Polaris Trailboss 325. I have got it almost all of the way off, the only things left are the choke and throttle cable, does anyone know how to remove these? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Go to partsland.com they have microfische breakdowns that should help in the disassembly.

There is a plate on the side of the carb where the throttle cable goes into the carb itself. You need to take that off, and you'll be able to get the throttle cable off.

The choke cable has a bolt going into the carb that needs to be taken out. This one is a real pain. Hard to find a wrench that will fit on it with enough room to move. On mine, I finally resorted to a small pair of vise grips, and carefully got it to break loose. Once it broke loose and got about a 1/2 turn on it, I could just use my fingers.

When putting the choke cable back on, I had the same problem. But I put some locktite on the threads, and just got it snug with the vise grips.

Thank you, I got it all apart and as expected the main jet was completely closed off by varnished gasoline. It is soaking in cleaner now, hopefully it will run like a new one when I get it back together.

That choke cable sure was hard to get a wrench around, I ended up taking a cheapy straight wrench and grinding it down slimmer so it would fit.
