Default "Wait" message on 07 Sportsman 500

I have about 19 hrs on this machine and last weekend it started to sputter real bad and would even die while trying to accelerate... I thought I had some bad gas or something so I got some out and it looked like beer - so I siphoned it all out and put new gas in - it ran fine and I thought that was it, then after about 5 hours of ridding it started again - so I put more gas in it and it seems ok but it starts rough. when I ride it will flash CHECK ENGINE then will go away then flash then go away... then right at the end of my last ride it looked like it sait WAIT in the display. I have no clue what this all means -

Any thoughts?

A friend of mine has a 07 Sp 500. He has had the same symptoms you described. After several trips back to the dealer, a battery and a reflash, they tracked it down to a faulty stator. Unfortunately they are unavailable here in the states unless you go aftermartket. The shipping fron Japan took about three weeks. Hope this helps.

I agree with Stendori - don't mess around and get it back to your dealer.
