i did one on my 2005 700 sportsman, you need to come up with some sort of puller,i used a big socket and washers, and the old nut on thr ball joint,i found the secert was to heat the ball joint housing ,carefully not to melt rubber boot, keep tension on the joint by tightening nut, used a small torch to keep heating around the old ball joint, need to heat it pretty good, keep tightening the nut along with heating and it poped out.not to hard.put the new ball joint in freezer, that will shrink the nrw ball joint a little, when you are ready to put new one in,start heating the housing to expand opening, remove new ball joint from freezer and quickly push it in heated housing, one side slid right in ,the other side had to tap it with mallet but went in without to much trouble, and wham all done, hope this helps ,let me know how it worked for you
