I'd like to see a video of the 500 winning a drag against an 800 Polaris. I have plenty of video of the 800 outlander getting beat in a drag. Heres a few
Outlander 800 vs. Kawasaki Prairie
Outlander 800 vs. 750 Brute
Outlander 800 vs. 750 Brute 2
I have to give it to Can am they make a fast atv but just when you think your the fastest someone comes around the corner and whips that tail LOL. Sure being fast is fun but its not everything. And sure I like to go fast thats why I modded the he!! out of my 700. But like I said being the fastest is not everything.

The outty 800 can smoke a kawasaki 700 and beat a bruteforce easily u cant compare a modded atv to a stock one LOL. Yes the outty 500 will beat a sportsman 800 in a drag race. The outty 500 has 45hp compared to the sportsmans 800=50. But the outty 500 weighs alot less and it is geared higher.

i have never heard of drag racing on a rainy day plus up hill LOL. Notice they cut the video when the outty was passing the bruteforce LOL. A modded brute should be able to beat a stock outty but that wasnt much of a drag race. The outty 650 can beat a bruteforce 750 stock vs stock.

The Polaris 800 makes 50hp and the 500 outlander makes 41.4hp.
Did I hit a nerve?

Well both quads were modded. They cut the video because that was the finish line was at the camera.

Gee I didn't mean to start a war here.
I've been to a lot of atv drags and pulls.
In the drags if all is stock the outty will be faster,in the pulls the bike with the best transfer and the best clutch kit will win.
My 700sp will be a dog in a drag race on dry ground, but put 4" of mud in front of her and look the f--k out because i'm going around you, because thats the way I set it up .
Any bike can be made to go fast, but thats not what this thread was about, it was a comparison stock for stock.
-Speed would go to the can-am
-pulling power I would give to the 700sp.because of wieght.
-durability(except front diff) would go to the sp700.and the outty hasen't been around long enough, although who cares with a 3-5 year warrenty
-Ride I would give to the can-am
-ground clearance goes to the sp700
-over all hp to the can-am
-warrenty goes to bombi
And again it depends on what your main use for the bike is,some guys do nothing but mud others trail ride and then some just use it for utility.
