Polaris 250 Crank seals
If the pto side is bad likly the mag side is also bad. You will need to pull the flywheel and remove the stator. Both sides use the same seal. I drill a small hole in the metal part of the seal, screw a sheet metal screw in and grab the screw with vise grips then pry on the vise grips to pull the seal out. There is less chance of damaging the crank and case I think.

Hi Cant find the seals so far. Rocky Mountain does not have them. Olny thing I found is this and I keep getting different numbers for the replacement seals. Rocky says they are the same for both sides? Look some more today or take them to a bearing seal place and see if they can sub something.

Cycle Parts Warehouse and Cheap Cycle Parts have both seals. Just type in the two numbers I gave you down at the bottom and shows the prices. Just compare which one is cheaper on prices and shipping. Plus you might check a local dealer's stock as shipping may offset the cheaper online prices and may actually be better to purchase locally. These are the latest numbers from the original ones listed back in the 1980's. (3084581 and 3082162) BUT if you have a pre 1995 model 250(1985-1994) you can use BOTH #3082162 seals on both sides of the cases!(at least by the Polaris website listing) Confusing I know! OPT

Seal for 250
Got the clutch side off and the seal rubber is completely gone. Chaecked 5 places today and no seals are avaliable. Goinf to check the bearing seal place in Chico in the morning. Let you know what happens.
Already tried to get the flywheel off. Has little tine cheah holes to use for the puller. Got one broke off already. Try to get it out tomorrow and will get 3 hard allen bolts and try again. Even used heat and a pop with a hammer amd nothing so far.
I saw where a fella had seals coming . Cant find where I saw the posting to find out from where he got them. Ugh its raining
