Default Inexpensive Outer tie rod replacements

I was looking all over for reasonable prices on outer tie rod ends. I eventually found what I was looking for at Midwest Control Products Corp. They were $5.79 EA, plus $12 for shipping. The only problem is the stud and the housing are both 1/2". So I drilled out the strut mount to 7/16" then ran a 1/2-20 tap down the hole. The ends now thread directly into the mount and I have another nut underneath w/locktite holding it in place. Theses look almost exactly like the OEM stuff, only more heavy duty. It only took me about 10 minutes to install them, plus another 10 minutes to get the alignment corect. Mine were both left hand threads on the housing for a 99' 400 xplr. Here is the link to what I ordered. I will have to wait and see how they hold up over time, but for about $12 ea shipped, if I get a couple good years out of them, I will be happy.
