does anybody know if the 400 hawkeye/sp have better acceleration than the 300?

 

i think that quad is going to be awsome for acceleration it has the 455cc motor from the
sportsman 450 in a smaller lighter frame
i have already talked to the wife about trading up to the 400.

 

Okay here is the golden question, anyone know how soon these models
will be for sale?

I agree. I thought it was a cool name too. At least they didn't call it Sportsman Junior. :-)

 

i would like to believe that a 455 cc would do better than a 297 ............

 

A stock hawkeye has 12 hp Max you can jet and clutch it and maybe get another 2 hp out of it if your lucky.
The New hawkeye/Sportsman 400 HO has 22 Hp-- Double the Hp on this Little machine and it will be a Monster I can tell you right now it will be the Midsize Atv of the year it will be a Pullin climbing and 4 wheelin monster after all the smoke clears, Im not saying that because I own one Im just saying that cause ive added up the Numbers and the new Sportsman 400 ho will set a new standard for midsize Atvs. Just my 2 cents.

 

It will blow away and Midsize atv in a drag race im sure. Add the Numbers up and you will get your answer.

New hawkeye 26.36 Pounds per horsepower

compare it to a Grizzly 450 --35.29 pounds per Horsepower
Grizzly 350 40.00 Pounds per horsepower
