Well the sport quads have got the attention for two years now. So I think next year the utility line will get some attention. I think they are going to drop a bigger ATV next year cause just think about how it's gone every year. In 2001 Polaris made the 500 H.0., then in 2002 the SP 700 Twin was made. In 2004.5 the SP 700TWIN EFI was made then in 2005 the SP 800 was out. Now they have made a 800 H.0. so next year will be a what? Will history repeat it's self?

One can only hope so. But I still think 800 is more than big enough. I mean, maye if they put it to within ten or fifteen CCs of a full 800. But who needs any bigger than that? That'll get you, atleast in my opinion, into and out of the meanest messes you can come across. Tweaking, fine tuning, that's the best way to go in my opinion.

I like that they've put ADC on all of the Sportsmans. That was desperately needed. Hopefully they go with a redesigned front end next year. As far as engines they're going to have to quit lying about the 760 obviously. Hopefully they just go right to something in the 950 to 1000cc range since Arctic Cat has already established that as the top end of the big bore market. Keep an actual 800cc machine for those who either don't want or can't handle anything bigger but build the larger engined machines for those that do.

In the end they have to or they'll lose market share to the companies that forge ahead.

On the other hand they could just go the route they are currently going and just call their 760cc a 950 or a 1000 and hope no one will notice.

I like the touring models. That would be just the thing for people who go on long two up rides. I still like the pickup type bed on the X2, so I'm glad that is still around. Glad all the two up models have the 6 gallon tank too. I can't imagine taking out the 800 EFI with a 4 gallon tank. The sport side has some nice choices now. I think Polaris is serious about winning some races on the pro circuits. I still wish for my Sportsman 6x6 X2 with independent rear supension....

I am eagerly to get my own RZR! After my last ride, which landed my 500 at the bottom of a hill upside down (after rolling over me too ), my brother-in-laws new RZR had to dead drag my bike all the way back to camp. It was pulling a 1000 lbs behind it up hills, through mud, and down trails. I remember a couple times telling him there was no way we were going to make it pulling my quad behind it, but we only got stuck once on a hill that was about 60 degree up angle and slick. The RZR impressed me to purchase! Sooo much power out of the 800 and a surprisingly smooth ride. Now all I have to do is talk the wife into another car payment

Don't be fooled by the Sportsman 400...............It's not really a Sportsman in my view!!!

It is really a 455cc in there ,but smaller Hawkeye frame....

They cut alot of corners on this to really call it a Sportsman in my view!!!

no low gear also!!!........ALL SPORTSMANS SHOULD HAVE LOW GEAR>>>>Right!!!!

I really have to agree with MR CAPER and Polaris kinda makes me mad. To make an analogy, Put a Hemi in a Dakota and then call the truck a Ram. STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to run 4x4 (trucks) off road, I ran a 1986 sami 4cyl small and light with very little power running 31" tires with a small lift and a 3" body lift I put full size 250 trucks and jeeps to shame the last time at the local 4x4 park. big isnt always better unless your going thru a 6foot deep pond.
the hawkeye should have just got a tweek like the 800ho. (imo) at quadfest in pa I ran the black trail that the "big boys ran" and came out of it without busting anything and only getting pulled one time (when it wouldnt start standing on its rear right tire )
the 300 hawkeye with the 2 main mods (rollers and tires) is one of the best classes out their (again imo)
