Well the 455cc motor is not really the HEMI of Polaris......LOL....LOL.......But that is my view on the frame anyway!!!!..........Maybe they just wanted to lose the "HAWKEYE" name??????

What do you guys think???

.........Caper..............</end quote></div>

wasnt sayin the 455 is a hemi of Polaris engines - just saying that changing the engine doesnt warrant changing the name

Well my personal apologies to everybody!
I didn't know that by starting this thread
in which was originally meant to be a "positive
upbeat" would turn into more VENTING sessions
for 2008 Polaris changes! - (dislikes dominated here)

On another (positive maybe?) I was wondering,
does anyone know when these dealers will start
carrying the NEW 2008 models?

Sincerely,

Rtickwad

Grayb,

I like your front bumpers and it looks like your own homemade
diamond plate skid plates and A-arm protectors (cool!)

Question, do you routinely use your winch cable as a transport
tie down? I read somewhere of people NOT recommending the
use of the winch as a tie down for undo stress on the winch
motor. True or false?

Regards,

R'

RticKwad,
I have use my winch as a tie down for 5 years on my Prairie, so I wouldn't be very worried about it. When the cable gets spooled after use it is not super tight anyway, there will be enough give to prevent any damage. I use mine constantly, and it still works as good as new.

i love using the winch for a tie down, i dont think I would if i faced them front to back starting and stopping would alway add stress and pull on it. thats why I carry mine sideways only time the tie down is even needed is during corners
