I need help on the carb. adjustments for this ATV. I have a large and small needle on the right side of the carb. What are they set at. Also any tips on the throttle and choke cable setting. This ATV also had the oil pump go out and I was trying to mix the gas. What ratio should I use. Thanks for any help anyone may have.

 

mix is 40 /1 40 parts gas 1 part oil
the two screws big one is for idle small one for air mix
to set air mix screw all the way in an back at 2 full truns is pretty much stock

 

I have good spark. Cleaned the carb. Mixed the gas. When I try to start I'll pull the choke and engine begins to fire but still with the starter. It wants to go. I have the throttle depressed just lightly so it clicks the switch. Fires a few times then begins to slow.I shut the choke off keep cranking and then goes past the point of bieng flooded and starts to fire again but not faster than the starter. Then slows. If I pull choke for a couple cranks speeds up again then slows. Shut it off while cranking and speeds up for a few cranks. I've tried adjusting with more choke less choke. More Idle screw and less. More throttle and with little. Still does the same. The front larger screw is out about 2 turns and the little one is at 1.5 turns. What can I try next.

yup a compression test for sure. sounds like it has low compression.
