Hi, I'm new to quads, I ride a CRF 450 but just picked up a couple of quads. Thanks for your help in advance.
I am in Salt Lake which is about 4500 ft and I ride in the mountains around 7000ft. My 330 Trailboss is jetted for sea level. Anybody know what pilot jet I need and how many spots I should move the needle clip up? Thanks!

According to my 2005 TB service manual (which should pretty much apply to your 2006), factory jetting should cover up to about 6000ft. Above that, it's time to start sticking in SLIGHTLY smaller main jets, and turning the pilot screw in a bit. I would pull the existing main jet, and then drop down one or two increments from that, and see how your performance is. Watch spark plug color carefully, and do not go far lean too quick, as too lean is much more damaging to the engine than is too rich.
If you don't go above 7000 ft., you are probably not far off now. My 2005 TB doesn't show signs of running rich a 6000 ft., that I know for a fact. If you need ANY rejetting, it's probably small.

SINCE YOU RIDE IN AN AREA FROM 4500 TO 7000 FEET. THERE ARE AIR LID VENT DOORS YOU CAN BUY AND INSTALL. WHEN YOU'RE AT LOWER ELEVATIONS CLOSE THE AIR LID VENT DOOR. WHEN YOU'RE AT HIGHER ELEVATION OPEN AIR LID VENT DOOR TO LET MORE AIR IN. ITS WAY BETTER THAN HAVING TO REJET. THIS IS AN OPTION YOU CAN LOOK INTO.
