Just finished registering the new ATVs

A friend of mine rode quads there up until a couple years ago. They started shacking anybody on a quad or dirtbike out of there. Maybe they've told the police they don't mind quads on their land. I'll ask him about it again and see what he knows.

How many states are legal to ride quads on the streets? Im in South Dakota and we can ride em on the streets here, my license plate is mounted with zip ties on my rear rack, just have to have a headlamp, tail light, mirror and horn and its all legal. No helmet law either although i do wear one, only reason im even riding one today as i was in a bad motorcycle accident in 97 and am paralized from my chest down. Thanx Polaris for giving my freedom back to me!!!!

Ya the only thing they dont want you to do is ride on some patch of grass that those people use to fly planes. I guess the Burlington rec has a dirt bike program, and I guess we know one of the guys that runs it. We went up there yesterday, rode for an hour or two not superfast just so we could brake the machines in. Some of the trails are kind of tight, but there are some nice wide open areas you can just let loose on.
We also heard from a guy in Chelsford that there are trails in Groton that are legal trail riding, but ATVs and Dirtbikes get bitched at by stupid mountain bikers that think they own the trails because they have a group that cleans the trails.
NH reistration is REDICULOUS though. Its about $75 for out of state registration for ATVS from June 30 to July 1 of the following year. I think Im going to ride around here for $30 for 2 years from date of registration. I also want to go out to Pittsfield State forrest for like a weekend this fall before trails close the last Sunday in November,

just got back from pittsfield state forest..
if you plan on camping there and riding, rent lulu group site, it may be a little more then the other sites but you have complete privacy, you can leave from the site to hit the trails too.
There are only 3 other sites at Pittsfield you can ride from (I think 11,12,13), the rest you will have to trailer to one of the 2 parking lots.
IF you do go, make sure you have a full tank of gas when you start off, as it can get a little confusing on getting back to lulu group site, nothing crazy but the trails aren't marked that great.
The smoothest trails there I found are near the balance rock parking lot, from there there is a nice ride up the powerlines and the powerlines has a nice group of mud puttles to play around in, and a deathwish hill climb (you can go another route to get to the top)
Broken plastics are scattered about on the bottom of that nasty hill climb.
I noticed on Sunday the park has a lot of people riding, so turning on your headlights so you can be noticed (and to notice others) is very important. since the trails go both ways
Have fun!

ya definately got to be careful about people coming the other way. Ive never really rode long trails, but have riden power lines for a few hours on 90's, but with the 06 trailblazer I got I think something like a 3.6 gal. fuel tank, and if we went for a long ride, maybe just keep a filled 5 gal. fuel tank with us, but how long going at maybe like 20 MPH how far would I get a full tank without cranking it to res. ??? I got a pic. of the plate mounted, nothing special but you can see it ,
